<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of attaining a sufficient air-tight property between a combustion chamber and a filter chamber by a simple constitution and facilitating assembling work. <P>SOLUTION: The gas generator is provided with a lengthy cylindrical member 10 made of metal; and a partition member 12A for dividing a space at the inside of the cylindrical member 10 to the combustion chamber 17 and the filter chamber 18 in an axial direction. The partition member 12A includes a base part 13 made of metal provided with a communication hole 13a for communicating the combustion chamber 17 with the filter chamber 18; and a covering part 14 provided so as to cover a surface of the base part 13. The partition member 12A is fixed to the cylindrical member 10 by clamping its peripheral edge by a pair of calking parts 10B provided by diameter-contracting the peripheral wall of the cylindrical member 10. The covering part 14 has a first seal part 14a interposed between a peripheral edge of the base part 13 and the calking part 10B; and a second seal part 14b continuously extending from the first seal part 14a and closing an opening surface of the communication hole 13a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
