Assembly (1) consisting of a multiple glazing unit (10) and of a profile (2) which is associated with at least one constituent element of the glazing unit and extends over at least part of the periphery of the glazing unit, characterized in that the multiple glazing unit comprises at least two panes of glass (11, 12) separated by a gas gap (13) and interlaid with and joined together by means of an insert (3) which consists at least in part of at least one strip secured to the edges of the panes of glass, and the profile (2), at least over part of its length, is in contact with the insert (3) of the glazing unit, opposite at least part of the edge of a pane of glass. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
