A method for arranging software components in a multi-mode mobile terminal is provided to easily distinguish components which must be relocated, through a common component profile and a waveform component profile. A software component arrangement method in a multi-mode mobile terminal comprises the following steps of: generating a common component profile and a waveform component profile(300); arranging common software components and arranging waveform software components based on each arrangement information included in the first and second profiles, correspondingly to the initial mode(308); and re-locating the waveform software components based on the second profile, according as a mode is changed(314).
