摘要	[PROBLEMS] To provide a content providing system capable of limiting reproduction of a content by an unauthorized person while increasing the freedom of reproduction of the content by an authorized person. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] When a mobile reproduction device (4) and a reproduction device (6) establish a communication by near-distance communication units (56, 72), right state transmission means (48) of the mobile reproduction device (4) transmits right state data based on the right data recorded in a right recording unit (50) to the reproduction device (6). Reproduction instruction acquisition means (66) of the reproduction device (6) receives a reproduction instruction concerning a reproduction device content from a user. According to the right state data transmitted from the mobile reproduction device (4), right authentication means (68) judges whether the right of the content whose reproduction has been instructed exists. If it is judged that the right exists, reproduction means (70) reproduces the reproduction device content recorded in the content recording unit (64).If it is judged that no right exists, reproduction is not permitted. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
