A method and apparatus for information coding/decoding and apparatus can improve the coding gain without changing the frame structure in the system. In the present invention, when generating a check information block, part of the check information can be carried by using some bits in the check synchronization head of the check information block, then generating the remain bits in the check synchronization head according to the said carried part of check information bits. Performing an FEC coding on the line coded information data and on the important bits in the synchronization head of the line coding block, and getting the check information, the said important bits are the bits for indicating the type of the information data in the same line coding block.
