PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding structure of a door for a vehicle capable of developing door rattling prevention effect by sufficiently press-fitting a cushion member to the opening edge surface of a vehicle body and the outer peripheral edge surface of the door without requiring a large operating force while the door is closed. SOLUTION: This holding structure of a door for a vehicle has the cushion member 3 press-fitted to both edge surfaces 11, 21 between the opening edge surface 21 of the door opening 2 of the vehicle body and the outer peripheral edge surface 11 of the door 1 opposed to the opening edge surface 21 when the door is closed for preventing the door 1 from rattling. The cushion member 3 of circular shape in cross section along the door opening/closing direction is so installed on one of both edge surfaces 11, 21 as to be rotatable and movable in the door opening/closing direction. When the door is closed, the cushion member 3 is brought into contact with both edge surfaces 11, 21 and moved while being rotated. Since the cushion member 3 is press-fitted to the both edge surfaces 11, 21 after the door is closed, the closing operation of the door 1 can be smoothly performed without requiring a large force.
