PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy in securely detecting the image area indicating different characteristics according to the imaging distance. SOLUTION: The image processing device 1 comprises an imaging distance estimating part 4b for estimating the imaging distance when the image to be processed among a series of observation images is captured; an abnormal region detecting part 4c for detecting an abnormal region in the image to be processed by using abnormality detection parameter; and an image processing control part 6a for setting the parameter value corresponding to the result of estimation by the imaging distance estimating part 4b and making the abnormal region detecting part 4c detect the abnormal region by using the abnormality detection parameter.
