Disclosed therein is a cake separating apparatus for a filter press, which can separate and convey aligned cake plates to separate and lower cakes formed by dehydrating and coagulating slurries contained in sewage. The cake separating apparatus for the filter press according to the present invention includes carriages disposed at both sides of frames for separating and conveying a plurality of cake plates aligned inside the filter press, wherein each of the carriages is conveyed in right and left directions by a second chain fixed on a side thereof, the second chain being conveyed according to a driving of a second driving motor, and wherein a plurality of cake plates are separably seated on a first chain, the first chain being conveyed according to a driving of a first driving motor.
