SHAPED FILTER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A shaped filter and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain high filtration efficiency while using a heat resistance of filter cloth to a limit, to obtain a high filtering capacity and to save a manufacturing cost by dipping no resin at both ends of the forming filter. A texture fabric layer is made of cloth of inorganic fiber. Filter cloth(10) is comprised by a filter layer made of an organic heat resisting fiber including a polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) fiber or a polyphenylenesulfide(PPS) fiber. The filter cloth is pleat-molded by impregnating and solidifying a part except both ends using a heat-resistant resin including a polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) resin and a polyimide resin. The both ends contain an inlet part and a bottom part.
