A method for re-transmitting MIMO broadcasting signals and an apparatus therefor are provided to enable a user to view high-quality HD broadcast through an existing cable and TV set without additionally installing cables. A method for re-transmitting MIMO broadcasting signals comprises the following steps of: restoring the original signal by receiving the MIMO broadcast signal through multiple antennas(S301); re-modulating the restored MIMO broadcast signal(S303); transmitting the re-modulated MIMO broadcast signal to a receiving terminal through a cable(S305); and demodulating the transmitted MIMO broadcast signal in the receiving(S307). The re-modulation mode is changed based on at least one of data rate of the MIMO broadcast signal, the capacity of the cable and a method of transmitting the MIMO broadcast signal. |
