An indoor position tracking apparatus using an acceleration sensor is provided to accurately track the position and movement of a target object, which is equipped with a position tracking module, in 3 dimensional spaces by using an acceleration sensor. An acceleration sensor(10) is placed at a position tracking module, and a position calculator(20) calculates position information including the displacement and the angular displacement of the position tracking module. A data transmitting unit(30) which is placed at the position tracking module with the acceleration sensor transmits position information to a host by a wireless communication method. A data receiving unit(40) receives the position information from the data transmitting unit by the wireless communication method, and a display unit(50) displays the position and movement information of the position tracking module.
