PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine capable of effectively preventing use of a fraudulent tool such as a mode checker. SOLUTION: In the slot machine, a CPU 41a determines whether data in a RAM 41c are normal or not when activated. If the data in the RAM 41c are not normal, the CPU 41a prohibits the progress of the game, and permits the progress of the game on condition that a new set value is selected and set. On the other hand, if the data in the RAM 41c are normal, a CPU 91a returns to the state before the power failure and transmits a command to load power supply by which whether a special winning combination is won or not can be specified. When the command to load power supply suggesting winning of the special winning combination is received, the CPU 91a executes announcement presentation suggesting winning of the special winning combination.
