An apparatus and a method for adjusting the feature of sound are provided to allow a user to adjust the feature of voice tone directly according to surrounding environment and adjust the level of feature of voice tone by making a volume button up/down. A display unit(11) outputs a voice tone setup menu. An input unit(12) is inputted by a user about the voice tone setup menu. A controller(13) adjusts the feature of the voice tone according to the selection of the user. A memory unit(14) stores details about the feature of voice tone adjusted by the controller. A sound input unit(15) inputs the voice tone through a microphone(16) and a sound output unit outputs the voice tone through a speaker(17).
