<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating chuck mechanism whereby the range of diameters capable of being supported by a clamping click is wider and the structure is simpler. <P>SOLUTION: This floating chuck mechanism is furnished with a chuck body part 40 furnished with a plurality of the clamping clicks 41 to hold a cylindrical workpiece W held in along a rotation axis Z1 by a pair of center members 20 arranged opposed to each other from the outer peripheral direction and a chuck base part fixed by a main spindle 12 rotating around the rotation axis Z1 and to rotate with the center member 20. Additionally, a fixing part to be fixed on the main spindle 12 and a sliding part free to slide along a sliding surface orthogonal with the rotation axis Z1 are provided on the chuck base part 30, and the chuck body 40 is fixed on the sliding part and slides along the sliding surface so as to absorb center slippage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
