PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high viscosity fluid separator constituted so as to simplify the heating-temperature holding equipment of a vacuum container for flashing a heated polymer solution in order to manufacture a polymer and capable of performing energy saving. SOLUTION: A vacuum jacket part 11a sucked by a vacuum pump 6 (Fig 2) to be evacuated and a heating medium jacket part 11b receiving a heating medium introduced into its upper and lower parts are provided to the central part of the vacuum container 5 of the high viscosity fluid separator 1. Internal heat is prevented from being discharged to the outside in the vacuum jacket part 11a to hold the temperature of the vacuum container 5. The vacuum container 5 is heated by the heating medium jacket part 11b in order not only to accelerate the volatilization of a volatile substance in the upper part of the vacuum container 5 but also to volatilize the volatile substance again associated with the polymer in the lower part of the vacuum container 5.
