PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel pack material having moderate adhesiveness to skin and good handleability and sustaining good moisture retaining effects on the skin even when used over a long period of time and to provide a method for producing the gel pack material. SOLUTION: The gel pack material is obtained by laminating a hydrous gel layer onto the surface of a supporting substrate. The method for producing the gel pack material is provided. The hydrous gel layer is composed of a gel-like composition composed of at least water, a polyacrylic acid compound, a polyhydric alcohol, an oil-based ingredient and a dispersion aid. The content of the oil-based ingredient is a value within the range of 5-20 mass% when the total mass of the gel-like composition is 100 mass%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
