PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold retainer and a molding die which improves the durability of a mold. SOLUTION: A recessed part 22b is formed in a guide slope 22a of a mold guide block 22 constituting a top force unit 12, and a low hardness plate 34 is fastened with a bolt 34 to the recessed part 22b. On the other hand, the molds 26 are liftably fitted by a roller 27 guided and transferred along a slope guide groove 25a of a position regulating plate 25 attached to the mold guide block 22 and a parallel guide groove 25b. Further, the molds 26 are transferred upward by the ascent of a bottom force unit 11, and a slope to be guided 26b formed in the molds 26 slides in contact with the guide slope 22a of the mold guide block 22. In this case, only the low hardness plate 33 wears out faster than the slope to be guided 26b. When the wear level of the low hardness plate 33 reaches or exceeds a specified value, the bolt 34 is removed to replace the worn-out low hardness plate 33 with a new one.
