PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid material feeding device which discharges a solid material from a material storage vessel by opening a vessel material discharge port, at the same time, prevents the invasion of the scattered solid material into a valve housing from a valve opening part, and contributes to the reduction of equipment cost and the simplification of drive control. SOLUTION: The material storage vessel 5 for storing a solid material 21 has an opening/closing member 7 formed so as to be displaced to a closing position to close a vessel material discharge port 6b being an opening through which the solid material 21 is discharged and to an opening position to open the vessel material discharge port 6b. The opening/closing member 7 is configured so as to be displaced to the opening position from the closing position and at the same time, to be inserted through a charge valve opening part 3a formed in a charge valve housing 3 of a material charge valve 2.
