PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately locate the occurrence of a partial discharge at a plurality of locations. SOLUTION: In S1, a partial discharge signal is detected at the time of day t1 in A end of CV cable, in B end at the time of day t2, the partial discharge signal is detected, in S2, whether the condition of ¾t2-t1¾≤L/C(L:length of cable, C:propagation speed) is fulfilled is discriminated. Then, in S4, the next signal is detected at the time of day t3 in A end and the signal is detected at the time of day t4 in B end, in S5, whether the condition of ¾t4-t3¾≤L/C is fulfilled is discriminated. And when each condition is fulfilled, in S7, whether both conditions (t3-t1)>L/C and (t4-t2)>L/C are fulfilled is discriminated, if both conditions are not fulfilled, the occurrence location is not performed (S8), if both conditions are fulfilled, the occurrence location is performed in S9.
