摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld joint and a welded structure that can suppress generation of fatigue crack in a weld joint and that, in the occurrence of brittle crack or the like in a weld joint, can surely divert it to a base material side and guide it to a part having a high brittle crack propagation stop characteristic, by a simple means requiring no skill of an operator and having capability of high-speed processing. SOLUTION: In a butt weld joint of steel plates, a recess 4 by ultrasonic impact treatment is formed on both sides of a weld bead 3, with a width including a weld toe and an adjacent weld heat-affected zone, over a length equal to or in excess of the steel plate thickness along the weld bead.
