PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal vapor deposition polyester film which has high strength, is hardly to be cracked, and has no wrinkle. SOLUTION: In the metal vapor deposition polyester film, a layer (layer M) containing a metal oxide is formed on at least one side of a polyester film layer (layer F). a micro-Raman crystallization index Ic in the thickness direction in the layer F is 10-20 cm<SP>-1</SP>, the dispersion of Ic in the thickness direction is 2 cm<SP>-1</SP>or below, and the optical density OD of the layer M is 0.5-8.0.
