PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide video image communication equipment, a video image communication system and a video image communication method for facilitating countermeasures to the error of a communication function by using a video image signal having a plurality of communication speeds as an object.

SOLUTION: This video image communication equipment is provided with: a first communication unit 17 which conducts communication of management information with an external device D2 through a cable C1 at a first communication speed; an encryption unit 15 which encrypts a video image signal; a second communication unit 16 which transmits the video image signal encrypted by the encryption unit to the external device through the cable at a second communication speed faster than the first communication speed; a detecting unit 11 which observes a communication situation to detect an error signal from the external device through the first communication unit; and a control unit 22 which reduces the second communication speed of the second communication unit when the detecting unit detects the error signal.
