PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a yarn of a carbon fiber bundle, by which the reduction of quality is prevented, and the cost is reduced by improving the operability in a firing step. SOLUTION: The method for producing the yarn of the carbon fiber bundle includes connecting the terminal parts of two yarns of acryl fiber bundles in a state in which at least one terminal part is flame-proofed or through a different flame-proofed yarn to afford a continuous yarn of the acryl fiber bundle including the flame-proofed part at the connecting part, and firing the continuous yarn of the acryl fiber bundle after detecting the flame-proofed position in the connecting part of the continuous yarn of the acryl fiber bundle by color difference to afford the yarn of the carbon fiber bundle. In this case, the time when the position detected by the color difference reaches a cutter installed in front of a bobbin for winding the yarn of the carbon fiber bundle is calculated, and the yarn of the carbon fiber bundle including the connecting part, and the yarn of the carbon fiber bundle not including the connecting part are wound on each different bobbin by cutting out the yarn of the carbon fiber bundle including the connecting part.
