positioning an insert in a vertical mold comprising a first mold portion and a second mold portion; and casting a material comprising a metal around at least a portion of the insert and wherein the insert comprises an annular body portion having an inner edge and an outer edge, the annular body having a flat portion extending radially, and a tab having a portion extending radially inward from the inner edge or outward from the outer edge, and the tab having a portion extending radially being parallel to the flat portion, and wherein the tab comprises a bent tab portion.
