A case for a secondary battery prevents reverse-insertion of a battery by having a step-shaped fastening groove formed in an upper case, the groove being connected to a fastening projection of a terminal of an electrical/electronic device. A battery pack includes the case. The battery pack further includes: a bare cell; a protection circuit board electrically connected to the bare cell; and an upper case disposed at the exterior of the bare cell and covering the protection circuit board, the upper case including a step-shaped fastening groove.
