PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core monitoring device capable of performing precise prediction monitoring. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a core characteristic result operation part 1 for operating a core characteristic by acquiring a state quantity of a reactor core, and generating core characteristic result data; a core characteristic result database 2 for storing the core characteristic result data generated by the core characteristic result operation part 1; an operation plan database 4 for storing operation plan data; a core characteristic prediction operation part 5 for predicting and operating a change with time of the core characteristic and generating core characteristic prediction data, by a calculation model based on the stored newest core characteristic result data and the operation plan data stored in the operation plan database 4, when the core characteristic result data are stored in the core characteristic result database 2; a core characteristic prediction database 6 for storing the core characteristic prediction data generated by the core characteristic prediction operation part 5; and a display part 9 for displaying the core characteristic prediction data stored in the core characteristic prediction database 6.
