Emergency windscreen wiper apparatus (2), which apparatus comprises a windscreen wiper unit (4) and remote control means (6): the windscreen wiper unit (4) comprising a body (8), suction means (10) for securing the body (8) to an outside face (12) of a windscreen (14) of a vehicle, a drive motor (16), a drive spindle (18) extending from the drive motor (16), a wiper arm (20) mounted on the drive spindle (18), and a wiper blade (22) mounted on the wiper arm (20); and the remote control means (6) being separate from the windscreen wiper unit (4) and being such as to allow control of the windscreen wiper unit (4) from within the vehicle. |
