A heat-insulating unit for protecting ground areas with early vegetables from frosts has a frame with plates limiting on sides thereof fixed by rectangular cover plates with columns of plastic cups rigidly fixed inside. It consists of two parallel rigid heat-insulating slabs of organic and/or inorganic materials connected between each other inside by edge intermediate and internal intermediate mutually perpendicular ribbed strip of equal height forming a closed air space.
