A device for driving a fan is provided to prevent the fan from rotating at high speed for a driving preparation time of a controller by cutting off supply of fan driving voltage and stopping the fan until the controller is normally driven after initial driving. A PSU(Power Supply Unit)(105) supplies level-1 driving voltage for driving a fan. A controller(101) outputs a speed control signal for adjusting a rotation speed of the fan to a lower rotation speed. A fan driving unit(109) drives the fan by applying level-2 driving voltage transforming the level-1 driving voltage into a lower level or the level-1 driving voltage. A switch(111) outputs or cuts off the level-1 driving voltage received from the PSU depending on a switching state. A transformer(107) transfers the level-1 driving voltage received from the switch to the fan driving unit or supplies the level-2 driving voltage to the fan driver depending on the speed control signal of the controller. A switching controller blocks the level-1 driving voltage supplied to the transformer by controlling switching of the switch for initial driving, and provides the level-1 driving voltage to the transformer by controlling the switching when an operation signal is received from the controller. A digital signal processor(103) converts the switch from an isolating state to a normal state by controlling the switch when an operational signal is inputted from the controller.
