A method for preparing a small-diameter rubbery polymer latex is provided to enhance the polymerization rate while controlling the undesirably rapid polymerization rate, to reduce generation of agglomerates during the preparation of a large-diameter rubbery polymer latex, and to improve the stability of the latex. A method for preparing a small-diameter rubbery polymer latex comprises the steps of: (a) introducing 50-95 parts by weight of an oil-soluble polymerization initiator and a redox catalyst in one portion to 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture containing conjugated diene compounds, and carrying out polymerization until the polymerization ratio reaches 30-40%; (b) introducing a water-soluble polymerization initiator in one portion or continuously to the polymerization mixture when the polymerization ratio reaches 30-40%, and further carrying out polymerization until the polymerization ratio reaches 60-70%; and (c) adding the remaining monomer mixture to the polymerization mixture when the polymerization ratio reaches 60-70%, and further carrying out polymerization.
