A portable terminal having a stopping unit is provided to set opening angles of the second housing variously by using the stopping unit, therefore a user can conveniently take a picture by controlling a stopping position of the second housing according to the user's taste. Interference members are provided to the first housing(201). At least one interference projection(235) is provided to the second housing(202). As the second housing rotates, the interference projections stop rotation of the second housing by interfering with one of the interference members. The second housing is set in speech mode by stopping at the first spot through rotation from a position folded on the first housing, and further rotates from the first spot to stop rotation again at the second spot.
