<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter having high color purity of colored pixels and high color density of a light shielding part and capable of achieving high contrast, a liquid crystal display including the color filter, and a curable composition for pixel formation capable of forming colored pixels of high color purity and a curable composition for light shielding part formation capable of forming a light shielding part of high color density, which are useful for forming the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter includes colored pixels which are formed of the curable composition for colored pixel formation and of which the color purity under a C light source is ≥65% to the area (100) of a three-primary-color chromaticity point by the NTSC system in a CIE color system, and a light shielding part which are formed of the curable composition for light shielding part formation in a width of 5-15 μm and of which the optical density (OD value) is ≥4.5.
