A piercing apparatus for a press is provided to perform piercing work on an inclination surface by operating a cam in an upper die corresponding to a movement of the upper die. A piercing apparatus(5) for a press comprises a cam slide(6) and a cam drive(9). The piercing apparatus is installed on a press device, which includes a lower die(1) having a work mount(1a) and an upper die(2) for moving with respect to the lower die in upper and lower directions. The cam slide is mounted on a guide rail which is installed at a side of a pad(3). The pad is installed on the upper die to support a workpiece(W). The cam drive is disposed on a piercing frame(4) formed at a side of the upper die to move the cam slide toward the work-piece.
