<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device provided with a newly structured optical filter layer which enables installation of an optical filter layer such as a color filter in a position closer to a light receiving part as compared with the conventional art. <P>SOLUTION: The optical filter layer 11 is provided on the surface of a semiconductor substrate on which the light receiving part is formed, directly or across another layer. The optical filter layer 11 is composed of quantum dots 13 having substantially uniform diameters, and the quantum dots 13 constitute the solid-state imaging device having a refractive index greater than that of the layer 12 into which the quantum dots are embedded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
