<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car locking device preventing the generation of an abnormal sound in cases of an unlocking and a locking without obviating the smooth rotary operation of a hook by imparting proper rotary resistance to the hook. <P>SOLUTION: The car locking device 1 has a striker 5 fixed onto either one of a car body or a car door and a base plate 3 having a striker intruding opening 7, having a ratchet and a hook 13 gripping and releasing the striker intruding into the opening and a ratchet 15, both of which are attached pivotally, and fixed onto either other of the car body or the car door. The hook 13 is composed of a metallic core material 16 and a synthetic resin made covering material 17 covering an abutting groove with at least the striker of the external surface of the metallic core material 16. Plate-like fin members 17c and 17d causing resistance to rotation of the hook while being brought elastically into contact with a part of the base plate when at least the hook is turned near a lock end are formed integrally to the covering material 17 while the front ends of the fin members 17c and 17d are formed in free ends and projected outwards. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
