<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for reducing noise generated by operating a drive box in a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device has an image forming means for forming images on a recording medium and a drive box 4 for driving the image forming means, and at least a part of which is covered with sheath members 31-33. The drive box 4 includes: a housing 40 attached to a frame 62 of a device body; at least one motor provided in the housing 40; and a drive force transmission mechanism having a plurality of gears provided in the inside of the housing 40 and transmitting drive force of the motor to a target part.
