<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication instruction device and method enabling the use of a system in addition to authentication work of a user by a single operation with easy contents. <P>SOLUTION: An IC card 101 is held over an IC card reader 102, whereby a user ID stored in the IC card 101 is read, and the user ID is compared with a user ID in a table for performing user authentication managed by an authentication server 120, and when the both are matched to each other, the user authentication is performed. A user successively performs a job authentication operation for executing processing in a composite machine 100 to the IC card reader, this operation is compared with a job authentication operation in a table for performing job authentication in which control contents for job authentication operation are managed by the authentication server 120, similarly to the user authentication, and when the both are matched, job authentication is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
