摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a framework which can use a shaped steel such as a H-shaped steel, that is low in processing degree and therefore relatively low in cost, even as a corner column. SOLUTION: In a framework structural building having an almost rectangular plan, an X plane of structure and a Y plane of structure forming external portions of the building in an X direction and a Y direction each include columns exerting a high flexural rigidity in the X direction or the Y direction and beams in the X direction or the Y direction rigidly connected to the columns. The end column in the X plane of structure is located outside the Y plane of structure, and the end column of the Y plane of structure is located outside the X plane of structure. Further the mutually adjacent end columns of the X and Y planes of structure are connected together diagonally in plan by X-Y joint beams which have a framework to yield before yield of the columns and beams constituting the X and Y planes of structure, at the time of an earthquake.
