PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabrics feeding method and an apparatus for transferring the fabrics to the next process by aligning a sagging position of the fabrics sagging in a transverse part and an inclination without locating a central part of an end side when a worker loads the fabric into a loading device. SOLUTION: The fabric feeding method includes the step of: transferring the fabrics upward to an end part of a rail by the loading device; receiving the fabrics by the transverse part having a grabbing means; transferring the fabrics sagging from the transverse part to the central position of the rail; discharging the fabrics folded in two after loading the fabrics into a folding part; extending the fabrics discharged from the folding part by an extending mechanism; and feeding to a delivering device for delivering the fabrics in a direction perpendicular to the rail. The sagging of the fabrics is aligned by detecting the end side of the fabric transferred by the transverse part by a group of sensors and by moving downward while the sagging portion of the fabric on the side of the loading device is tightly held between opposed rollers (31, 32) from signals of the group of sensors.
