The device has an aluminum frame (E) with an opening for receiving a joint (J), where volume of the opening is higher than that of the joint for forming a blank (1) to arrange the joint. The joint has a hollow part (8) in its base, arranged to be placed in the opening. A U shaped central zone is formed in the hollow part at a free end opposite to the base for adopting, holding and blocking a periphery of a window panel (V). The opening and joint have respective complementary patterns for inserting and blocking the joint in the opening. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for assembling a window panel on an opening on a passenger transporting vehicle (2) a method for disassembling a window panel on an opening of a passenger transporting vehicle.
