A sliding door panel hangs from an overhead rail (1) which is in turn attached to the surrounding frame or ceiling by a strip (2) by a bolt (4). The bolt has a head (4b) and a smaller diameter waisted zone (4a) that is inserted through an elongated hole (2e). The fixing plate (2) has a U-shaped bend (2c) with two plate-like supporting sections (2b, 2i) allowing alternate insertion points for the bolt (4). The plate (2) wall fixture holes (2h) are located in the bend (2c) and the ceiling fixture holes (2d) are located in one of the supporting sections (2i).
