PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peptide composition which is specific to diagnosis, treatment or prophylaxis of hepatitis B virus infection. SOLUTION: The present invention provides peptides and other molecules, inhibiting assembly of a hepatitis B virus, obtained by selecting peptides which inhibit the assembly of the hepatitis B virus by binding virus to a core antigen and prevent binding of the core antigen to surface antigen from a fused phage library presented by a fibrous phage, a method for treating them and a pharmaceutical composition comprising them.
