PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency operating device of an elevator for rescuing a passenger by operating a car to a closest floor even when the power supply to the elevator is blocked by the power failure or any trouble. SOLUTION: The emergency operating device of the elevator for operating the elevator in an emergency such as the power failure or any trouble comprises a hoisting machine body 1 for elevating/lowering a car, a hoisting motor 2 which is connected to the hoisting machine body 1 to drive the hoisting machine body 1, and a hoisting motor driving device 3 for driving the hoisting motor 2. The hoisting motor driving device 3 includes an impeller 5 which is rotated by the pressure fluid to be pumped from a fluid pumping means through a tubular body, a reduction gear which is connected to the impeller 5 and rotated together with the impeller 5, and a clutch which is provided between the reduction gear and the hoisting motor 2 and disconnects the reduction gear from the hoisting motor 2 in a normal condition and connects the reduction gear to the hoisting motor 2 in an emergency of the power failure or any failure.
