An apparatus and a method of plastic injection molding are provided to bind a cover material to a base material without using adhesives. A method of injection molding for binding a cover to a base material includes a step(S1) of feeding a cover material and seating the cover material in a lower die, a step(S2) of putting an upper die on the lower die to seal, a step(S3) of forming a cover material on the base material by injecting thermoplastic resin into the cavity which is created by the upper die and the lower die, a step(S41) of inserting stoppers into a space between the upper die and the lower die after lifting the upper die from the lower die, a step(S4) of recovering cover material by assembling the upper die with the lower die without removing stoppers, and a step(S6) of taking out workpiece from the dies after separating the dies.
