An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to dispose cut-off patterns of a common electrode in an upper part of at least one of a gate line and a data line formed in each pixel, thereby uniformizing an RC retardation value of the line irrespective of a length of a gate fan-out line or a data fan-out line. A gate line(121) is formed on a first substrate and has a gate fan-out unit(122a,122b,122c). A gate insulating layer is formed on the gate line. A semiconductor(154) is formed on the gate insulating layer. A data line(171) is formed on the semiconductor and the gate insulating layer, and has a data fan-out unit(172a,172b,172c). A passivation layer is formed on the data line, and has contact holes(182,185) for exposing a part of the data line. A pixel electrode(191) is formed on the passivation layer, and connected with the exposed part of the data line through the contact hole. A second substrate faces the first substrate. A black matrix(220) is formed on the second substrate. A color filter(230) is formed on the black matrix. A planarization layer is formed on the color filter. A common electrode is formed on the planarization layer. The common electrode has plural cut-off units(271,272,273) formed with different length. The cut-off unit of the common electrode is disposed in a part corresponding to the gate line and the data line. A length of the cut-off unit is in proportion to a length of the gate fan-out unit of the corresponding gate line or a length of the data fan-out unit of the corresponding data line. |
