PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new 3-aminothiophene derivative useful as an agricultural or a horticultural bactericide or its intermediate. SOLUTION: This 3-aminothiophene derivative is expressed by general formula (6a) [wherein, R<SP>9</SP>is H, carboxyl or a 1-6C alkoxycarbonyl; and R<SP>a</SP>is trifluoromethyl, difluoromethyl, methyl, ethyl, a pyrazole substituted by a halogen atom or the like, thiazole, furil, thienyl, phenyl, pyridyl, pyrazinyl, isothiazole or the like, and especially trifluoromethyl is preferable as the R<SP>a</SP>].
