PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a compact damper device in an ink-jet printer and enhance damper effects. SOLUTION: Ink supplied from an ink tank via a flexible tube flows into a first chamber 27d-1 of a damper chamber from an ink inflow opening 47 and via communication paths 49 and 50, further flows from communication holes 44 serving as constricted portions formed in a bottom wall 29 of the first chamber to a second chamber 39d, and is supplied to a record head from an ink outflow opening 41d. The upper surface of the first chamber 27d-1 is sealed by a flexible film 43. The communication paths 49 and 50 rise from a main partition wall 35 forming the bottom surface of the second chamber 39d and open at the positions adjacent to the flexible film 43. Therefore, the fluctuating pressure of the ink transmitted from the tube side to the first chamber 27d-1 first directly transmitted to the flexible film 43 and absorbed by the deformation thereof. The flow rate change of the ink is lessened by the constricted portions. Thus, the fluctuating pressure of the ink is sufficiently suppressed, and the ink is supplied to the record head.
