PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet seat device for avoiding a risk of a user by notifying the outside of standing up of the user from the seat to prevent the user having a physical burden when standing up from the toilet seat device from having the risk, such as falling down when standing up from the seat. SOLUTION: The toilet seat device has an absent seat-detecting portion for detecting standing up of a human body from the seat, and notification means for notifying the outside of standing up of the human body from the seat, which is detected by the absent seat-detecting portion. The absent seat-detecting portion includes a pair of electrodes, and absent seat-determining means for detecting a change in capacitance across the pair of electrodes and determining standing up of the human body from the seat.
