<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for improving safety of documents by deciding that no access is approved at all for safety when information of access rights does not exist on a server which manages information of access rights on the documents. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is for forming images in accordance with the stored image data by a means which has a plurality of storage areas and stores image data and information on the image data in association with each other in the storage areas. The apparatus has: a user information input means; a user authentication means; a means for acquiring the information of access rights on the image data from a security server connected via a network; a means for deciding whether or not the information of access rights actually exists; a deleting means for deleting the image data when the decision means decides that the information of access rights does not exist; and an access control means for controlling an access to the image data on the basis of authenticated user information and acquired information of access rights. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
