A universal joint for a steering apparatus is provided to efficiently absorb impact and displacement in axial and rotational directions by installing an impact absorption member between an inner shaft and an outer tube of the universal joint. A universal joint for a steering apparatus comprises an inner shaft(234) and an outer tube(232). The inner shaft has a pressing member(260) at an end of one side thereof. The outer tube includes a body(270) that has an opening(272), into which the inner shaft is inserted, at an end of one side thereof. The inner shaft is coupled with the outer tube to transfer rotational force. A cap(280) is coupled with the body to close the opening and has a through hole into which the inner shaft is inserted. An elastic member(290) is provided at the opening of the body to absorb displacement of the pressing member in an axial direction.
